All Students

We recommended that all students invest in a set of moulded in-ear protectors. If you don't already have a set, we have relationships with manufacturers that will allow you to purchase them at a discounted rate once you start your programme.  In the interim, foam in-ear protectors are made available free of charge.

Tutorials, Room Bookings, Masterclasses, Freshers Week, ACM Graduation and lots of other events are delivered free of charge to ACM Students. Very occasionally, ACM will offer students the opportunity to engage in extra field trips and/or external activities. Where they incur an extra cost, these activities will be optional and not a specific requirement for the programme award.

Performers

Students on ACM programmes involving performance are expected to have their own instrument including a lead to connect to amplifiers (i.e. guitar, bass etc.) for use in lectures and practice. Vocal students should have a microphone and lead. Keyboard students should bring their own headphones. Drum students should bring their own sticks and headphones (for electronic kits) for use in lectures and practice. Students on other programmes wanting to take part in performance lectures by way of elective modules will require the same equipment.

Producers

Production students will need a suitable pair of headphones for use in lectures and studio practice. Students on other programmes wanting to take part in production lectures by way of elective modules will require the same equipment.

Technical Services Students

Technical Services students may require steel-toe tap boots suitable footwear.  Students on other programmes wanting to take part in Technical Services lectures by way of elective modules will require the same equipment.
