Welcome to ACM!


Let's get you started with accessing your online learning tools.


You’ll need to action the following steps to take part in your online induction activities:


  1. Your ACM email address and password
  2. Download the recommended apps
  3. Log in to your ACM email account
  4. Log in to Canvas
  5. Helpful Links
  6. Log in to myACM
  7. Log in to Zoom


  1. Your ACM email address and password


Your ACM email address and password were sent to your personal email address. Check your personal email for ‘Your my.ACM Email Address’ to find it.


If you are experiencing problems with your ACM email, or did not receive the details, contact itsupport@acm.ac.uk.



  1. Download the recommended apps (including Zoom)

For the best online experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer. Important features that you will need are limited on mobile devices.

IMPORTANT - You will NOT be able to view your timetable on Canvas mobile/Canvas app. Please use this link to view your classes: https://timetable.acm.ac.uk/ 

You have been provided with a registered ACM Zoom account. Please follow the instructions below in order to access your account:

  1. Log in to your ACM email account


Using Google Chrome,


  • Go to gmail.com

  • Sign in using your ACM email address and password

  • Follow the instructions to change your password when prompted.

  • Add two-factor authentication by following the on-screen instructions.

NOTE: Log out of all other gmail accounts. You will not be able to access ACM resources with an account that does not end in @my.acm.ac.uk


  1. Log into Canvas

  1. Go to acm.instructure.com

  2. Select ‘Student Login’

  3. Sign in with your ACM Google account (if asked)

  4. You will then see the Canvas Dashboard 


Your Canvas account displays all of your course resources, including online Zoom sessions, upcoming assignments and lesson content. Have a look around to familiarise yourself with the displays. Select “Courses” on the navigation bar to select your courses.


  • Join live Zoom sessions using the “Zoom” tab on the left hand side

  • Missed a session? Catch up in the “Lesson Video’s - Panopto” tab where everything is recorded

  • Course materials and resources, can be found under the “Lesson Content” tab of your individual Canvas modules


You should already have access to the following Canvas modules in the “Courses” icon of your Canvas account. (Feel free to take a look around!)

? = These Canvas modules will provide useful information regarding the systems you might use during your time at ACM.

❗ = Student Safeguarding Training - All students are required to read and complete this Canvas module. We’ll run you through this in the upcoming Zoom call.

6. Log in to myACM

myACM is your central hub for all ACM apps. You can view your timetable and courses, make room bookings, get support, and even collaborate with fellow students.

Log in to my.acm.ac.uk

  1. Go to my.acm.ac.uk

  2. Select ‘Student Login’

  3. Sign in with your ACM Google account

  4. Enter your password

  5. Enter your 2-step verification code (sent to your phone)

7. Log in to Zoom

You have been created a Zoom account with ACM. To access your account, please follow these steps:

Your Zoom account  is connected to your Gmail. You won’t need an additional password.

Please choose the “Sign in with” Google option and select your ACM email to continue to your account. (see screenshot below)
