Welcome back to another exciting term at ACM!


Let's get you re-started with accessing your online learning tools. Below you’ll find some reminders on how to access materials, alongside some new improvements to your new academic year.


A guide for returning students to access online learning tools


  1. Download the recommended apps

  2. Log in to your ACM email account

  3. Log in to myACM > Canvas > Zoom

  4. Helpful Links
  5. Optional Zoom sessions with the Digi Ed team


You’ll also have the chance to join a returning students Zoom session with the Digital Education team. These sessions are optional, with the chance for Q&A sessions. Scroll to the bottom of this email, or click the above hyperlink for instructions on how to join.

For the best online experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer. Important features that you will need are limited on mobile devices.

  1. Log in to your ACM email account


Using Google Chrome,


  • Go to gmail.com

  • Sign in using your acm email address and password

  • Follow the instructions to change your password if prompted.

  • Add two-factor authentication by following the on-screen instructions.


If you are experiencing problems with your ACM email, or have forgotten your password, contact itsupport@acm.ac.uk.



NOTE: Log out of all other gmail accounts. You will not be able to access ACM resources with an account that does not end in @my.acm.ac.uk




  1. Log in to myACM > Canvas > Zoom

Joining online lessons is much easier now. Simply log into myACM, Click on Canvas, navigate to your module and hit the Zoom menu item.

myACM is your central hub for all ACM apps. You can view your timetable and courses, make room bookings, get support, and even collaborate with fellow students.

Log in to my.acm.ac.uk

  1. Go to my.acm.ac.uk

  2. Select ‘Student Login’

  3. Sign in with your ACM Google account

  4. Enter your password

  5. Enter your 2-step verification code (sent to your phone)


NOTE: Log out of all other gmail accounts. You will not be able to access ACM resources with an account that does not end in @my.acm.ac.uk


Click on Canvas icon

Canvas is where you will find all of your course resources. You can access Canvas from within myACM using Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer.

  1. Select ‘Student Login’

  2. Sign in with your ACM Google account (if asked)

  3. You will then see the Canvas Dashboard 

Canvas Dashboard contains the modules you are enrolled in and a ‘Coming up’ list from your Calendar.

Click on Zoom menu item


Your community and cohort sessions will be shown on the Zoom page. Click on the Zoom menu item to see all scheduled sessions for that module.
